* THE PUBLIC INQUIRY IS OVER BUT THE FIGHT ISN'T. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT TO THE CAMPAIGN - TOGETHER WE'LL WIN*
Make no mistake.

If built, this thing will be ENORMOUS.

The chimney will be over half the height of the Blackpool Tower.

The whole building will dominate the skyline for miles.

It will be a monstrous blot on the landscape of Worcestershire’s greenbelt for generations to come.

And it’ll be us taxpayers funding it.

You don’t have to take our word for the scale of this thing - take a look at Mercia’s own website by clicking HERE and pay particular attention to the size of the building compared with people, cars and trucks - it’s absolutely massive!

WE HAVE TO WIN THIS - AND WITH YOUR HELP, WE WILL.

What exactly are the architects going to do to ‘ensure it blends
in with the surrounding environment’, the surrounding
environment being Worcestershire greenbelt?
The width of the building would be 155 metres - the equivalent to the
length of 16 double-decker buses.
To put it another way, the mass-burn incinerator would stand the height of 8 double-decker buses, and the chimney would be the height of a further 10 double-decker buses.
It may however, be somewhat more of a surprise to learn that the proposed mass-burn incinerator would stand 35 metres high, compared to St. James church which stands at 21 metres high.

It would completely dwarf the other units on the trading estate.

Not wholly out of keeping in scale?
If you were then to compare the truck and the unit on the trading estate to St. James Church in Hartlebury, it would come as no surprise to see that the church is significantly bigger
Compare the size of the truck to the unit on the trading estate that would be adjacent to the mass burn incinerator - so far, so good.
